Patty Ingredients

Toppings and Buns

Method

Preparing the Patty

1

Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground elk meat, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil. Mix gently until just combined.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Grilling the Burger

3

Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

4

Grill the Patties

Place the patties on the grill. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium doneness.

5

Add Cheese

In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assembling the Burger

6

Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

7

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, then the grilled elk patty with melted cheese, followed by slices of tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
