Prepare the Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well and form into four equal patties.

Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion. Rinse and chop the lettuce, and slice the pickles.

Assemble the Bonanza

Spread a tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place a patty with melted cheese on each bun, then layer with tomato, onion, lettuce, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the Bonanza burgers hot with your favorite sides.
