Method
Biscuits
Prepare the Biscuit Dough
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Cut in the Butter
Add the unsalted butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and pat it down to about 1-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Biscuits
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the biscuits for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Tea
Boil Water
In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow them to steep for 5 minutes.
Sweeten the Tea
Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.
Add Lemon and Mint
Add the lemon slices and fresh mint leaves to the tea. Let it sit for a few minutes to infuse the flavors.
Serve
Serve the tea hot, optionally with additional lemon and mint for garnish.
