Preparation of Base Ingredients
Cook Farro
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of farro with 3 cups of water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
Cook Rice
In a separate pot, combine 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
Combining Ingredients
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Add Dilly Beans
Add 1 cup of dilly beans to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until heated through.
Combine All Components
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked farro, grits, rice, and prepared oats. Mix in the sautéed garlic and dilly beans. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of cinnamon over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined.
