Packaging & Serving

Method

Packaging & Serving

  1. 1

    Chill the cans

Place the six cans of Diet Coke in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or in the freezer for 20–30 minutes if you need them chilled quickly. Do not leave cans in the freezer longer than 30 minutes to avoid freezing and possible can rupture.

  2. 2

    Prepare carrier and garnishes

If you have a six-pack carrier, set it on a clean, flat surface. If using a cardboard six-pack or other packaging, ensure it's intact and can safely carry all six cans. If you plan to serve with ice and lime, place a small bowl of ice and a cutting board with a halved lime and a knife nearby.

  3. 3

    Open and serve (optional)

To serve immediately, open a chilled can by lifting the tab and drinking or pouring over a glass with ice. If using a lime wedge, run the wedge around the rim of the glass and drop it in or squeeze half a wedge into the drink. Close remaining cans by replacing them in the carrier and store in the refrigerator. If not serving now, leave cans sealed and store them upright in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

  4. 4

    Transport or store

If transporting the six-pack, ensure cans are upright and secure in the carrier to prevent tipping. Keep refrigerated for best taste; unopened cans stored at room temperature are safe but may taste less refreshing.
