1

Prepare ingredients

Brew a small shot of espresso and let it cool to room temperature (or use cold-brew concentrate). Measure out the Seedlip, NOA coffee liqueur, simple syrup, and cold water. Have ice ready for the shaker and a chilled coupe or rocks glass prepared.

2

Build and shake

In a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup of ice. Pour in 2 oz Seedlip, 1 oz NOA Coffee Liqueur, 0.5 oz cooled espresso, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 0.5 oz cold water. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds. The goal is to chill, dilute, and create a slight foam from the espresso.

3

Double strain and serve

Using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh (or separate dual strainer), double-strain the contents into a chilled coupe or rocks glass without ice. Double straining removes small ice shards and any espresso grounds for a clean, silky texture.

4

Garnish

Express an orange twist over the surface of the drink by holding the twist peel over the glass and gently pinching to release oils; run the twist around the rim and drop it into the drink. Optionally float 3 coffee beans atop the surface for aroma and presentation.

5

Serve

Serve immediately. The estimated balance is slightly bitter and roasty from the coffee liqueur and espresso, rounded by the Seedlip's agave-notes and the simple syrup's sweetness. Adjust future batches by ±0.25 oz simple syrup or water to taste.
