Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Select an Old Fashioned / rocks glass. Fill the glass with large ice cubes or one large sphere to chill while you build the drink.

2

Build the Negroni

In a mixing glass or directly in the chilled rocks glass, combine 1 oz Rémy VSOP, 1 oz Campari, and 1 oz sweet (rosso) vermouth.

3

Stir

If using a mixing glass, fill with ice and stir gently for about 20–30 seconds (15–20 full rotations) until well chilled and slightly diluted. If built in the serving glass, stir thoroughly with a bar spoon until chilled.

4

Strain and serve

If you mixed in a separate glass, discard the chilling ice in the serving glass and add fresh large ice, then strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over the ice. If built in the serving glass, simply leave as is.

5

Garnish

Express the oils of an orange peel over the surface by holding the peel skin-side down and giving it a firm twist, then rub the rim with the peel and drop it into the drink.

6

Serve immediately. Optional: for a slightly brighter aromatic profile, flame the orange peel briefly before expressing the oils (exercise caution).
