Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Dice the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic if using. If using fresh spinach, wash and chop it; if using frozen, thaw and drain it.

  2. 2

    Mix Cream Cheese

In a mixing bowl, soften the cream cheese at room temperature. Once soft, blend in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the diced bell pepper, onion, spinach, shredded cheese, salt, and black pepper to the cream cheese and egg mixture. Mix until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. If using, sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 5

    Cook the Mixture

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until the edges start to set.

  3. 6

    Transfer to Oven

Once the edges are set, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the center is firm and the top is slightly golden.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with a drizzle of hot sauce and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
