Prepare the Mussels

Clean the Mussels
Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any dirt or debris. Remove the beards by pulling them from the shells. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.
Make the Shrimp Butter

Prepare the Butter Mixture
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and shallots, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Spices and Seasoning
Stir in the vadouvan spice blend, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the spices to bloom in the butter.

Add Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the saucepan and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the Mussels

Prepare the Fett'unta

Garlic Rub
Once toasted, rub one side of each slice with a raw garlic clove for added flavor.
Serve

Plate the Dish
Serve the mussels hot, garnished with the shrimp butter sauce, accompanied by the fett'unta on the side.
