For Drizzling

Method

Preparing the Farro

  1. 1

    Cook the Farro

In a medium pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil. Add the farro and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 30-35 minutes, or until the farro is tender but still chewy. Drain any excess liquid and let cool.

Making the Mixture

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked farro, grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped black truffle, and eggs. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 3

    Form Balls

With wet hands, take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and form it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Breading the Arancini

  1. 4

    Coat the Balls

Set up a breading station with flour, an egg wash (whisked eggs), and breadcrumbs. Dip each ball first in the flour, then in the egg wash, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs. Place the breaded balls back on the baking sheet.

Frying the Arancini

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Balls

Carefully add a few arancini balls to the hot oil, being cautious not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Serving

  1. 7

    Drizzle with Honey

Arrange the fried arancini on a serving platter and drizzle with orange blossom honey. Serve warm.
