If the bottle is not already chilled, place it in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours before serving. For a quicker chill, submerge the bottle in an ice-water bath for 20–30 minutes or place 4 ice cubes in an insulated wine cooler briefly. Avoid over-chilling; 8–10°C (46–50°F) is ideal to preserve aromatics.

Use a waiter-style corkscrew or a standard corkscrew to remove the cork gently. Wipe the neck with a clean cloth to remove any sediment or cork particles.

Saumur Blanc is typically enjoyed directly from the bottle. If you prefer to open up aromas, decant gently into a wine carafe for 10–15 minutes to allow subtle floral and fruit notes to lift.

Pour into chilled white wine glasses, filling to about one-third full (120–150 ml per pour) to allow room for swirling and nosing. Maintain serving temperature around 8–10°C.

Alternatively, tuck a small sprig of mint or thyme into the glass for a subtle herbal note.
