Seltzer Base

Method

Seltzer Base

1

Chill and measure

Make sure the carbonated water is well chilled. Measure the citrus juice, simple syrup, and cannabis tincture so everything is ready to combine; cold ingredients preserve carbonation and flavor.

2

Mix flavor components

In a pitcher, combine the fresh citrus juice (1/2 cup), simple syrup (2 tbsp), optional fruit or botanical extract (1 tsp if using), and a pinch of salt (1/4 tsp). Stir gently to dissolve the syrup and integrate the extract.

3

Add cannabis tincture

Add the cold infused cannabis tincture (10 ml). Stir gently for 5–8 seconds to disperse the tincture evenly through the citrus-syrup mixture. Note: dosing depends on tincture concentration — adjust volume to reach desired THC and/or CBD per serving.

4

Combine with seltzer

Slowly pour 4 cups of chilled carbonated water into the pitcher over the back of a spoon or down the side to preserve carbonation. Stir with a gentle figure-eight motion for no more than 5 seconds to finish combining.

Garnish & Serve

5

Prepare serving glasses by filling each with ice (about 1 cup total for two servings) or leave ice out for a cleaner presentation. Divide the seltzer evenly among two glasses.

6

Garnish each glass with a citrus wheel or wedge and a sprig of fresh herb. If you used a botanical extract, choose a complementary herb (mint for raspberry, rosemary for grapefruit, basil for cucumber).

7

Serve immediately while fizzy. Advise guests of the cannabis content and approximate dose per serving; allow 30–90 minutes for effects to onset and consume responsibly.
