Banana Custard

Banana Whipped Cream

Brulee Fresh Banana

Chocolate Hazelnut Crumble

Method

Banana Custard

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bananas

Peel and mash the 3 ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine the mashed bananas, milk, sugar, cornstarch, and eggs. Whisk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cook the Custard

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Cool the Custard

Transfer the custard to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the custard to prevent a skin from forming. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Banana Whipped Cream

  1. 5

    Prepare the Banana

Peel and mash the ripe banana in a mixing bowl.

  2. 6

    Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

  3. 7

    Combine Ingredients

Add powdered sugar, mashed banana, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Gently fold until fully combined.

Brulee Fresh Banana

  1. 8

    Prepare the Bananas

Peel and slice the 2 ripe bananas in half lengthwise.

  2. 9

    Caramelize the Sugar

Place the banana halves cut side up on a baking sheet and sprinkle brown sugar evenly over each half.

  3. 10

    Brulee the Bananas

Using a kitchen torch, carefully brulee the sugar until it melts and caramelizes. Alternatively, broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes until caramelized.

Chocolate Hazelnut Crumble

  1. 11

    Prepare the Crumble Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate hazelnut spread, all-purpose flour, softened butter, and brown sugar. Mix until crumbly.

  2. 12

    Bake the Crumble

Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown, stirring halfway through.

  3. 13

    Cool the Crumble

Remove from the oven and let cool completely before using.
