    Shucking the Oysters

    Using an oyster knife, carefully shuck each oyster by inserting the knife into the hinge and twisting to open. Remove the top shell and loosen the oyster from the bottom shell.

    Place shucked oysters on a bed of crushed ice on a serving platter. Serve with lemon wedges, hot sauce, and mignonette sauce on the side.
