Wonton Filling

Wonton Wrappers

Frying

Dipping Sauce (optional)

Method

Prepare the Filling

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Assemble the Wontons

2

Fill the Wrappers

Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Dampen the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger.

3

Seal the Wontons

Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle and press the edges together to seal tightly. Alternatively, you can bring the corners together to form a pouch. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Fry the Wontons

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

5

Fry the Wontons

Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

6

Drain the Wontons

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried wontons from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Prepare the Dipping Sauce (optional)

7

Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili sauce, and toasted sesame seeds. Stir well and set aside for serving.
