Cooking Instructions
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, ginger, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs, coating them well. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the marinated chicken thighs and cook until browned on all sides.
Prepare the Sauce
Add canned tomatoes and cream to the skillet. Stir well, cover, and let simmer for about 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Cook the Rice
While the chicken is simmering, cook jasmine rice according to package instructions.
Prepare the Pita Bread
Grill or warm the pita bread in a skillet until slightly crispy.
Serve
Serve the butter chicken over a bed of jasmine rice, accompanied by grilled pita bread, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
