Cocktail

Method

Prep the Glass

1

Rim the glass

Run a lime wedge around the outer edge of a chilled coupe or rocks glass. Spread the kosher salt on a small plate and gently press the wet rim into the salt to coat. Tap off any excess.

Mix the Cocktail

2

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 1 cup).

3

Add 2 oz blanco tequila, 1 oz Triple Sec, 2 oz sweet and sour mix, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 oz fresh orange juice to the shaker. These measurements balance boozy, sweet and bright citrus notes.

4

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted.

5

Strain the cocktail through a fine strainer (or the shaker’s strainer) into the prepared glass. Serve 'up' in a coupe or over fresh ice in a rocks glass according to preference.

Garnish & Serve

6

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and optionally an orange twist. Give a small squeeze of the lime wedge over the drink for extra brightness if desired.
