Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Build and shake

Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice. Add 1.5 oz Malibu coconut rum, 0.5 oz Blue Curaçao, 2 oz pineapple juice, 2 oz orange juice, and 0.25 oz fresh lime juice (optional). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

2

Strain into glass

Fill a highball or hurricane glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass.

3

Float dark rum

Carefully pour 0.5 oz dark rum over the back of a spoon held just above the drink's surface so the rum floats on top, creating a layered 'floater' effect.

Garnish & serve

4

Garnish the glass with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry on a pick. Add a cocktail umbrella if desired.

5

Serve immediately with a straw. Stir before drinking to blend the floater if you prefer a uniform flavor; leave layered for a visual effect and sips that change as you drink.
