Espresso Martini
Method
Espresso Martini
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz Tito's Handmade Vodka, 1 oz Owen's Espresso mix, 0.5 oz coffee liqueur, and 0.5 oz simple syrup (or an extra 0.5 oz chocolate syrup if you prefer a sweeter, chocolate-forward drink) into a cocktail shaker.
Optional espresso
If you want extra coffee intensity and crema, add 0.25 oz freshly brewed espresso (cooled slightly) to the shaker. This is optional because Owen's mix may already be concentrated.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds. A hard shake chills the mixture quickly and creates a foamy crema from the espresso.
Double-strain into glass
Remove the chilled glass from the freezer. Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass using the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer (this removes tiny ice chips and ensures a smooth surface for garnish).
Garnish and serve
Float three coffee beans on top of the foam (traditionally arranged in a line or triangle). Serve immediately.
