Prepare the Glass
Start by preparing the glass for your margarita. Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of a chilled margarita glass.

Sugar Rim
In a small plate, pour the granulated sugar. Dip the rim of the glass into the lime juice, and then into the sugar to coat the rim evenly.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of orange liqueur, and 3 oz of housemade watermelon sour.

Shake
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glass filled with ice. Ensure that the sugar rim is intact while pouring.

Garnish
Garnish with a slice of watermelon or a lime wheel on the rim of the glass if desired.
