Pork Chop

Gorgonzola Honey Butter

Whipped Russet Potatoes

Blistered Green Beans

Method

Cooking the Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chop

Season the porterhouse pork chop with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Pork Chop

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned pork chop and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.

Making Gorgonzola Honey Butter

  1. 3

    Prepare the Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, crumbled gorgonzola cheese, honey, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined and smooth.

  2. 4

    Serve the Butter

Spoon the gorgonzola honey butter onto the resting pork chop, allowing it to melt over the meat.

Preparing Whipped Russet Potatoes

  1. 5

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and cube the russet potatoes. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Whip the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add heavy cream, unsalted butter, salt, and black pepper. Use a potato masher or hand mixer to whip until smooth and creamy.

Preparing Blistered Green Beans

  1. 7

    Cook the Green Beans

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the green beans and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until they are blistered and tender but still crisp.
