Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash the oranges, lemons, limes, and peaches thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Cut the peach into wedges or slices. If using strawberries, hull them and slice. If using blueberries or raspberries, rinse and set aside.

Mixing

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the sliced fruits: oranges, lemons, limes, peaches, and berries. Add the sugar and stir gently to coat the fruits with sugar, allowing them to release their juices.

  2. 3

    Add Liquids

Pour in the red wine and orange juice into the pitcher with the fruit mixture. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.

  3. 4

    Chill

Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Sangria

Just before serving, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda to the pitcher for a fizzy touch. Stir gently. Serve the sangria over ice in glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves and a cinnamon stick in each glass for added flavor.
