Prepare the Red Bell Pepper
Dice the red bell pepper into small pieces and set aside.

Mix the Crab Cake Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the blue crab meat, cream cheese, diced red bell pepper, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix until well incorporated.

Season the Mixture
Add Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and lemon juice to the crab mixture. Stir until evenly mixed.

Form the Crab Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into round cakes, about 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.

Cook the Crab Cakes
Carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Once cooked, transfer the crab cakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
