Burger Patty

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Season the Meat

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the seasoned beef into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the beef patties. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of brie on each patty to melt slightly.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the kaiser buns on a skillet or grill until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a generous amount of lemon-herb aioli. Place the cooked patty with melted brie on top, followed by a layer of mixed greens, crispy fried onions, and a spoonful of sun-dried tomato jam.

  3. 7

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently to secure all ingredients. Serve immediately.
