Method

Making the Dough

1

Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the oil and water gradually. Mix until a dough forms.

2

Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Preparing the Filling

3

Mix the Filling Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the crumbled paneer, green chilies, coriander leaves, garam masala, and salt. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Assembling and Cooking

4

Divide the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into equal lemon-sized balls.

5

Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, take one dough ball and roll it out into a small disc about 4-5 inches in diameter.

6

Fill the Dough

Place a spoonful of the filling mixture in the center of the rolled dough. Fold the dough over to encase the filling and seal the edges by pressing with your fingers.

7

Fry the Mishthaan

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently slide in the stuffed dough and fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.
