1. Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

2. Cook the Patties

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

3. Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

4. Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the brioche buns on a separate skillet until golden brown.

5. Assemble the Burger

Spread garlic mayo on both sides of the toasted brioche bun. Place the bottom bun on a plate, add the spring lettuce, then the beef patty with melted cheese, followed by red onion slices, pickles, and finally the top bun.

6. Serve

Serve the cheeseburger with a side of fries.
