Scones

1

Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and dried fruit until just combined.

2

Shape and Bake

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times. Pat into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into wedges and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Tea Sandwiches

3

Prepare Cucumber Spread

In a small bowl, mix cream cheese with chopped dill. Spread on whole wheat bread slices.

4

Assemble Sandwiches

Layer cucumber slices on half of the bread slices, cover with the other half, and cut into quarters. For smoked salmon sandwiches, spread cream cheese on bread, layer with smoked salmon and capers, and cut into desired shapes.

Desserts

5

6

Bake and Decorate

Pour batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes. Cool, then dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with edible glitter before serving.
