Ahi Tuna Steak Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
Prepare the Thai Basil Aioli
In a blender, combine the Thai basil, mayonnaise, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
Season the Tuna
Rub the Ahi tuna steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
Grill the Tuna
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned tuna steaks on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the ciabatta bread lightly on the grill. Spread a generous amount of the Thai basil aioli on one side of each slice of bread. Layer the romaine lettuce leaves on the aioli, followed by the grilled tuna steaks. Top with the other slice of bread.
Serve
Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately with extra aioli on the side, if desired.
