Cook the Lasagna Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes translucent.

Add Tomato Sauce
Stir in the light tomato sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.

Layer the Lasagna
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles on top. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, then top with one-third of the meat sauce and one-third of the mozzarella cheese.

Repeat Layers
Repeat the layering process two more times, finishing with a layer of meat sauce topped with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Baking

Bake the Lasagna
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cool and Serve
Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
