Method

Making the Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew the Coffee

Start by brewing 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method (drip, French press, etc.). Make sure to use fresh coffee grounds for the best flavor.

  2. 2

    Mix in Irish Whiskey

Once the coffee is brewed, pour it into a heat-resistant glass or mug. Add 1 ounce of Irish whiskey to the hot coffee.

  3. 3

    Sweeten the Coffee

Add 1 teaspoon of sugar (brown or white) to the coffee and stir until completely dissolved.

Preparing the Whipped Cream

  1. 4

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the cream until soft peaks form.

Assembling the Irish Coffee

  1. 5

    Top with Whipped Cream

Spoon a generous amount of the whipped cream over the coffee mixture, allowing it to float on the surface.

  2. 6

    Garnish

Sprinkle a teaspoon of cocoa powder or grated chocolate on top of the whipped cream for an elegant touch.
