Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Place a martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Tito's Vodka or Tanqueray Gin and 0.5 oz of dry vermouth.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with ice cubes (approximately 1 cup) to chill the mixture.

  4. 4

    Shake or Stir

Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15 seconds to mix and chill the ingredients, or stir gently for a smoother drink.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Glass

Remove the chilled martini glass from the freezer or discard the ice water. If using, place olives or a lemon twist in the glass.

  6. 6

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixed drink into the chilled martini glass. Serve up (without ice) or pour over fresh ice for a rocks version.
