Method
Preparation
Prepare the Bread
Cut the bread into small cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all the bread is soaked. Let it sit for 30 minutes, allowing the bread to absorb the liquid.
Baking
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Transfer to Baking Dish
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the soaked bread mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool Slightly
Remove the bread pudding from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Serving
Serve Warm
Scoop out portions of the bread pudding and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
