Pasta

Method

Prepare the Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. 2

    Sauté Garlic and Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 3

    Deglaze and Add Flavor

Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off. Stir in the remaining butter, lemon juice, and capers. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve

  1. 4

    Mix Linguine with Sauce

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.

  2. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately, garnished with additional lemon wedges if desired.
