Place the bottle of Tormaresca Chardonnay in a refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to serving, or 20–30 minutes in an ice bucket with equal parts ice and water. Place the white wine glass in the refrigerator or freezer for 10–15 minutes to lightly chill.

If you’re short on time, add 2–3 ice cubes to a sealed plastic bag, wrap the bottle, and rotate for 1–2 minutes to speed chill. Remove ice from the bottle before opening.

Wipe the bottle neck dry. Using a corkscrew (or wine opener appropriate to the closure), remove the cork or unscrew the cap cleanly. Wipe the lip of the bottle with a clean cloth to remove any residue.

Hold the glass by the stem. Pour 6 oz (one standard wine pour) of chilled Tormaresca Chardonnay into the white wine glass, tilting the glass slightly and pouring down the side to preserve aromatics and minimize foam or splashing.

If you prefer a slightly lighter, spritz-style drink, add up to 1 oz neutral sparkling water to the poured wine and stir gently once with the stem of a spoon.

For a bright aromatic accent, express a lemon twist over the surface of the wine: hold the twist skin-side down over the glass and give it a quick snap so oils release onto the wine, then drop the twist into the glass or rest on the rim.

Alternatively, float a thin slice of green apple in the wine for a subtle complementary aroma and an attractive presentation. Do not add both garnishes unless desired.

Present the glass immediately while the wine is chilled. Recommend tasting temperature: 8–10°C (46–50°F) for optimal balance of body and aromatics. Encourage guests to swirl gently, sniff to appreciate aromas of ripe orchard fruit and mild oak, then sip to note the off-dry finish.

If serving multiple guests, re-cork the bottle and keep in an ice bucket (with water) to maintain temperature; consume within 2–3 days after opening for best quality, sealing with a wine stopper.
