Cocktail

1

Chill Glass

If preferred, place a rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail and discard before serving.

2

Combine Ingredients

Add the Malfy Rosa gin, chilled bianco vermouth, and Starlino Aperitivo into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled about two-thirds with ice.

3

Stir

Stir the mixture gently with a bar spoon for 20–30 seconds (about 15–20 full strokes) until well chilled and properly diluted. Aim for a silky, slightly viscous texture and a temperature just above freezing.

4

Prepare Glass

Discard ice or water from the chilled rocks glass if used. Add one large ice cube or a sphere, or 2–3 large cubes into the glass.

5

Strain

Using a julep strainer or fine mesh, strain the stirred cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over the ice.

6

Garnish

Express the oils of a grapefruit twist over the drink by holding the twist skin-side down above the glass and giving it a quick squeeze to release the oils. Rim the glass lightly with the twist, then drop it into the drink as garnish.

Optional Finish

7

Bitters and Soda (optional)

If desired, add 1 dash of orange or grapefruit bitters to the mixed cocktail before stirring for added aromatic complexity. Alternatively, top with a 1/2 oz splash of pink soda or tonic after pouring for a touch of effervescence—add gently to preserve carbonation.

8

Serve immediately and enjoy. The Negroni Rosa should be balanced between bright grapefruit citrus, the herbaceous gin, the sweet floral bianco vermouth, and the bitter-sweet aperitivo.
