Preparation
Prepare the Ingredients
Fill a large pot with 4 liters of water and add salt to taste. Bring to a boil.
Prepare the Potatoes
While the water is heating, wash the baby potatoes thoroughly and set aside.
Prepare the Vegetables
Wash and chop the seasonal vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Prepare the Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and set aside.
Cooking
Cook the Crab
Once the water is boiling, carefully add the live Dungeness crabs. Cover and steam for about 15-20 minutes until the crabs are bright orange and cooked through.
Cook the Potatoes
While the crabs are cooking, add the baby potatoes to the boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.
Serving
Plate the Dish
On a large serving platter, arrange the steamed Dungeness crab, baby potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. Serve with melted drawn butter and charred lemon on the side.
