Powder Blend

Method

Powder Blend

1

Prepare workspace and equipment

Clean and dry a mixing bowl, scale or measuring cups, a fine sieve, and an airtight container (glass jar or food‑grade plastic). Ensure all equipment is dry to prevent clumping or spoilage.

2

Weigh and measure dry ingredients

Measure each dry ingredient precisely: 1 cup grass‑fed beef protein isolate, 1/4 cup collagen peptides, 1/2 cup instant dry milk (if using), 1/4 cup maltodextrin (if using), 1/2 tsp fine sea salt, 1 tsp natural beef flavor or bouillon powder, 1/4 tsp ground white pepper, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/8 tsp citric acid (optional), and 1/4 tsp food‑grade silica (optional).

3

Combine and sift

Place measured powders into the mixing bowl. Sift the mixture through a fine sieve into a second clean bowl to break up any lumps and ensure even distribution of seasonings and flow agents. If you don't have a sieve, whisk vigorously for 2–3 minutes to thoroughly combine.

4

Blend for homogeneity

For best results, transfer the sifted mixture to a dry, clean blender or small food processor and pulse for 10–15 seconds to uniformly distribute finer components (avoid heating). Alternatively, use a dry immersion blender briefly. Return to the bowl and give one last whisk.

5

Adjust seasoning

Taste a 1/4‑teaspoon reconstituted sample (mix 1/4 tsp powder with ~1/2 tsp warm water) to check seasoning. If needed, add up to 1/4 tsp more salt or 1/4 tsp more beef flavoring, then reblend or whisk to incorporate.

6

Package and store

Transfer the finished powder to an airtight container, remove as much air as possible, and seal. Label with contents and date. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Use within 3–6 months for best quality. If silica was omitted, use within 2–3 months and keep strictly dry.

For Reconstitution (per serving)

7

Measure 2 heaping tablespoons (about 20–25 g; approximate single serving from the blend) of the powder into a cup.

8

Add 1 cup (240 ml) warm water or low‑fat milk. Warm (not boiling) water or milk helps dissolve proteins and improves mouthfeel.

9

Whisk vigorously with a small whisk or use a handheld frother for 10–20 seconds until fully dissolved and smooth. Let sit 30–60 seconds to reduce foam, then whisk again briefly.

10

Adjust flavor: add a squeeze of lemon or a few drops of Worcestershire sauce for a savory note, or add extra salt to taste.

11

Serve immediately as a savory protein beverage, or incorporate into soups, gravies, or recipes as a powdered beef protein addition. If using in hot cooking, stir powder into warm liquid early and cook gently to integrate.
