Preparation

1

Brew the Coffee

Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method. Aim for a robust flavor that will complement the whiskey.

2

Add Whiskey and Sugar

In a heat-proof glass or mug, pour in 1 ounce of Irish whiskey. Add 1 tablespoon of raw sugar and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

3

Combine Coffee

Pour the freshly brewed hot coffee into the glass with the whiskey and sugar mixture, filling it to about 3/4 full. Stir gently to combine.

Topping

4

Prepare the Cream

In a separate bowl, lightly whip 1 tablespoon of heavy cream until it thickens slightly but is still pourable.

5

Top the Coffee

Gently pour the whipped cream over the back of a spoon onto the coffee to create a floating layer of cream on top. Do not stir.
