Pakora Ingredients
Method
Pakora Directions
Prepare the batter
In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, turmeric powder, salt, and water. Whisk until you achieve a smooth batter. Let it rest for about 15 minutes.
Prepare the vegetables
Cut the sweet peppers into strips, and slice the bananas into thick rounds. Cut the house-made paneer into bite-sized cubes.
Batter the ingredients
Dip the sweet pepper strips, banana slices, and paneer cubes into the batter until well coated.
Fry the pakoras
Carefully drop the battered ingredients into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
Drain and serve
Remove the pakoras from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with minted yogurt sauce and chermoula.
