1

Chill glass

Place an old fashioned glass (or rocks glass) in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill the glass.

2

Measure and pour

Add 2 oz soju, 1 oz Campari, and 1 oz sweet vermouth into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled partway with ice.

3

Stir and dilute

Stir the mixture gently for 20–30 seconds (about 15–20 full strokes) until well chilled and slightly diluted. If you prefer a slightly lighter drink, stir up to 40 seconds.

4

Prepare glass

Discard the ice water from the chilled rocks glass (if used) and add a large ice cube or fresh ice to the glass.

5

Strain

Strain the stirred cocktail into the prepared glass over the fresh ice.

6

Garnish

Express the orange peel by holding it over the drink and giving it a firm twist to release oils, then rub the peel on the rim and drop it into the glass as garnish.

7

Serve

Serve immediately. Sip slowly to enjoy the bittersweet balance of the Campari and vermouth softened by the clean, lower-proof soju.
