Liqui Fruit Cocktail Base

Method

Liqui Fruit Cocktail Base

1

Measure spirits and mixers

Measure 2 oz vodka, 1 oz white rum, 0.5 oz peach liqueur, 0.5 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker or into the blender if using a blender method.

2

Chill briefly

If using a shaker, add a small handful of ice and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the spirits; if using a blender, proceed to the next step to combine with fruit purée.

Fruit Purée & Juice

3

Prepare fruit purée

In a blender, place the hulled strawberries (4 oz) and diced mango (3 oz). Add 2 oz pineapple juice and 1 oz orange juice. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 20–30 seconds. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding up to 0.25–0.5 oz more simple syrup if needed.

4

Combine with spirits

Pour the fruit purée into the shaker with the chilled spirits (or add the measured spirits to the blender with the purée). If using a shaker, add the purée and fill the shaker with ice; shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds. If using a blender and you prefer a slushy texture, add crushed ice and pulse once or twice to integrate (do not overblend or it will melt).

Finish & Garnish

5

Strain and serve

If shaken: double-strain the cocktail into a chilled highball or coupe glass filled with about 1 cup crushed ice. If blended: pour the blended mixture into the glass, leaving room to top with club soda if desired.

6

Top and garnish

Optionally top the drink with 1 oz club soda for a light fizz. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig, a lime wheel or wedge on the rim, and a strawberry slice on the glass. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy.
