Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust them with flour to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture while whisking continuously.

  4. 4

    Add Flour and Salt

Gently fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.

  6. 6

    Bake

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cakes to cool for 1 minute, then carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate. Serve immediately, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
