Biscotti Ingredients

Method

Biscotti Preparation

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3

Add Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the vanilla extract. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.

4

Add Almonds and Chocolate

Fold in the chopped almonds and dark chocolate until evenly distributed.

5

Shape the Dough

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a log, about 12 inches long and 3 inches wide.

6

Bake the Dough

Place the log on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

7

Cool and Slice

Remove from the oven, let cool for about 10 minutes, then slice the log into 1-inch wide pieces.

8

Second Bake

Turn the slices on their sides and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until crisp.

9

Finish with Maldon Salt

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with Maldon salt to taste. Let cool completely before serving.
