French Toast Preparation

Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

Heat the Pan
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.

Cook the French Toast
Cook each slice for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Repeat the process with the remaining slices, adding more butter as necessary.

In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer, then remove from heat.

Thicken Custard
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring continuously until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Cool Custard
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the custard cool before serving.

Prepare Mixed Berries
Rinse the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries under cold water and drain well.

Slice the strawberries into halves or quarters, depending on their size.

On a plate, stack slices of French toast and drizzle with Napoleon custard.
