Method

Shrimp Preparation

1

Cook Shrimp

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.

Cheesy Bacon Grits

2

Prepare Grits

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in grits and salt. Reduce heat to low and cook until thickened, about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3

Add Cheese and Bacon

In a separate pan, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Once grits are cooked, stir in bacon, cheese, and butter until melted and creamy.

Jalapeño Relish

4

Make Relish

In a small pot, combine diced jalapeños, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.

Eggs

5

Cook Eggs

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Crack in eggs and season with salt and pepper. Cook to your desired doneness.

Biscuit

6

Make Biscuit Dough

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined.

7

Bake Biscuits

Turn dough onto a floured surface and pat to 1-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
