Crisp, smooth, refreshing. A medium bodied lager.

In a large pot, bring 6 liters of water to a boil. Once boiling, add 6 cups of Pilsner malt and 1 cup of caramel malt. Stir continuously for about 60 minutes to ensure the grains are fully extracted.

Step 1: Prepare the Wort

After 60 minutes, remove the pot from heat and strain the liquid into a fermenter, discarding the grains. Bring the wort back to a boil and add 2 oz of Hallertau hops. Boil for 60 minutes, then add 1 oz of Saaz hops during the last 5 minutes of the boil for aroma.

Step 2: Boil the Wort

After the boiling process is complete, cool the wort quickly using an immersion chiller or by placing the pot in an ice bath until it reaches around 20°C (68°F).

Step 3: Cool Down

Transfer the cooled wort into a sanitized fermenter and add the yeast packet. Seal the fermenter with an airlock and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for about 2 weeks at 10-12°C (50-54°F).

Step 4: Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, dissolve 3 oz of priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer before bottling. This will carbonate the lager. Bottle the beer in sanitized bottles, cap them, and let them condition for another 2 weeks at room temperature.

Step 5: Bottling

After conditioning, chill the bottles in the refrigerator. Your Full Sail Session Premium Lager is ready to be served. Pour into a glass and enjoy the crisp, smooth, refreshing taste!
