Cocktail
- 1
Chill glass
Place the rocks glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice and set aside while you prepare the cocktail to chill the glass.
- 2
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse Bourbon, 0.25 oz simple syrup, 3 dashes Angostura bitters and 1 dash orange bitters to a mixing glass.

- 4
Prepare glass
Discard ice from the chilled rocks glass if you used it to chill. Place a large clear ice cube into the glass.
- 5
Strain
Using a strainer, pour the stirred cocktail over the large ice cube in the rocks glass.
- 6
Express and garnish
Take an orange peel and, with the peel skin facing down over the glass, firmly squeeze to express the oils across the surface of the cocktail. Rim the glass with the peel, then drop it in (or discard) and optionally add a Luxardo cherry on a pick as a garnish.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately. Sip slowly to enjoy the bourbon's complexity — this preparation highlights the Single Rickhouse's depth and oak spice.
