Method
Sour mix (if making fresh)
- 1
Make fresh sour mix (optional)
Combine equal parts fresh lemon juice and simple syrup (1:1) — for this recipe, mix 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice with 1/2 cup simple syrup. Stir until blended. Chill. Use 2 oz per cocktail as listed above. If using store-bought sour mix, skip this step.
Build the cocktail
- 2
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- 3
Add 2 oz Three Olives Cherry vodka to the shaker.
- 4
Pour in 1 oz limoncello.
- 5
Add 2 oz sour mix (or 1.5 oz sour mix + 0.5 oz fresh lemon + 0.25 oz simple syrup if you prefer brighter lemon).
- 6
Add 0.5 oz grenadine to the shaker.
- 7
Optional: add 2 oz soda water or lemon-lime soda if you want a lighter, longer drink — do not add soda if you plan to shake vigorously (add after shaking).
- 8
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until chilled and slightly frothy.
- 9
Fill a highball or Collins glass with fresh ice.
- 10
Strain the shaken cocktail into the prepared glass over ice.
- 11
If using soda, top the cocktail with the 2 oz soda and give a gentle stir (1–2 rotations) to integrate.
- 12
Garnish & serve
- 13
Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist on the rim and drop in the cherry on a cocktail pick or directly into the drink.
- 14
Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy.
