Preparing the Ribs

Preheat Smoker/Grill

Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C).

Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim excess fat.

Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.

Smoking the Ribs

Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker or grill, bone side down, and smoke for 3 hours.

Making the BBQ Sauce

Prepare BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finishing Touch

Char the Ribs

After 3 hours, remove the ribs from the smoker, baste with BBQ sauce, and place on a hot grill for an additional 30 minutes, flipping and basting every 10 minutes.

Serving

Remove ribs from the grill, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce.
