Wash and chop the dark cherries and blackberries into smaller pieces to enhance their flavor release.

In a large mixing bowl, pour the Bordeaux red wine. Add the chopped dark cherries and blackberries into the wine. Stir gently to combine.

Add the cedar chips to the wine and fruit mixture. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes to infuse flavors.

If desired, add honey to the mixture for added sweetness. Stir until fully incorporated.

Strain the wine mixture into a decanter or serving pitcher, discarding the fruit and cedar chips. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
